Meet Business Athlete: Gina Goldenberg
Gina Goldenberg knows what it means to be a team player. Before coming to Launch, she co-owned a construction company, and she spent 10 years building, delivering and supporting scientific software at Pharmaceutical company. Here at Launch, she works hard to ensure every client feels like family. In her ‘spare time’ (a term she laughs at), she enjoys cooking for her husband and daughters, and organizing events for others. She claims her superpower is the people around her.
But Gina is a standout in her own right: she just won the Launch Maverick Award for not only providing excellent work, but helping to build and live the Launch culture. We sat down with her to explore her success and the convictions that got her here.
Launch: Your business cards say ‘Quality Assurance Manager.’ What’s your role, really?
Gina Goldenberg: To lead with positive attitude and deliver quality work.
Launch: What was the “aha” moment for you—when did you know you wanted to do this?
GG: When I realized that all business is about deep understanding of customer and customer needs.
Launch: What does the term “Business Athlete” mean to you?
GG: A business athlete is someone who reaches for the stars, but understands that only hard—and smart—work can get you there.
Launch: What’s the hardest lesson you’ve had to learn?
GG: You need to deliver every day. What you did in the past may not be relevant today.
Launch: What’s the best part of your day?
GG: Hearing positive feedback from users and customers…and talking to my girls after work.
Launch: If you had $10,000 to donate to any charity, which would it be?
GG: Any charity that benefits kids in need.
Launch: Finally, what’s next for you?
GG: Tomorrow is a new day: New challenges, new wins.
